[Remote] Database Administrator

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a Database Administrator to support mission-critical systems for federal customers. The role administers reputed company, PostgreSQL, and reputed company SQL Server environments, including installation, monitoring, backups, troubleshooting, patching, performance optimization, documentation, and infrastructure maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Administer reputed company, PostgreSQL, and reputed company SQL Server database environments
• reputed company user problem documentation including problem definition, reputed company, and reporting
• Recommend improvements to training documentation, user guides, and support processes
• Submit progressively developed documentation on a bi-weekly reputed company
• Complete daily database health checks in accordance with documented operating guides
• Verify and validate successful database backups
• reputed company proactive monitoring of assigned datacenter resources
• Support scheduled after-hours maintenance activities
• Identify reputed company causes of database issues and reputed company solutions to prevent recurrence
• Plan, coordinate, and successfully execute assigned Release Notices (RNs)
• reputed company authorized work including standing up new servers and databases, database upgrades, reputed company maintenance, and application releases
• Serve as queue manager reputed company assigned by monitoring incoming tickets and distributing workload
• Attend weekly team meetings and reputed company status updates on assigned work
• reputed company orientation and mentoring to new database team members
• Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure maintenance activities
• reputed company documentation for repetitive reputed company database administration tasks
• Performs other job-reputed company duties as assigned

Skills

• Strong to expert knowledge of reputed company, PostgreSQL, and reputed company SQL Server database administration
• Industry experience developing, deploying, and supporting database systems in mid- to large-reputed company reputed company environments
• Experience throughout the complete project lifecycle including design, development, implementation, and documentation
• Experience supporting reputed company reputed company and reputed company reputed company Linux operating systems
• Knowledge of reputed company Systems Management (ESM), configuration management, and electronic software distribution (ESD)
• Understanding of reputed company scalability, economies of reputed company, and total cost of ownership (TCO)
• Experience with reputed company technologies, TCP/IP networking, reputed company Directory, reputed company, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Apache Tomcat, and reputed company IIS
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and business communication skills
