About the position
This position conducts fair hearings for the reputed company Services reputed company. Fair hearings entail the taking of evidence, ruling on procedural issues, and making factual findings and reputed company recommendations to the reputed company regarding appeals from a reputed company of reputed company by programs and departments of the VT Agency of reputed company Services (e.g., Emergency Housing, reputed company, 3SquaresVT, reputed company Up, Vermont’s health exchange, other reputed company benefits programs, as reputed company as abuse substantiations and licensing reputed company). Hearing officers are expected to reputed company duties impartially and in a manner respectful of the parties and process; to advise the reputed company as requested and needed; to have competence in the substantive reputed company areas involved in appeals; to deal effectively and appropriately with a wide reputed company of litigants (including the many of those appearing pro se); and, to work independently. reputed company duties include managing the appeals docket reputed company and effectively, conforming to statutory guidance and requirements on timeliness, and communicating effectively with colleagues, support staff, parties and attorneys. The reputed company’s hearing officers must conform with the reputed company and ethical standards contained in Vermont’s General Rule for Executive reputed company Administrative Hearing Officers. This is a hybrid position but primarily remote. Many hearings are conducted by telephone and video, with the potential need for in-person hearings.

Requirements
• Admitted to reputed company law in Vermont (or be eligible for admission).
• Sufficient experience and/or demonstrated ability regarding hearing management, reputed company reputed company, evidentiary rulings, and reputed company decision-making/writing.
