(UGT) is expanding its reputed company engineering team supporting a U.S. Department of Energy national reputed company. We are hiring two reputed company Engineers to bring depth and rigor to the reputed company's AWS and Azure environments. These engineers will join an established, high-performing UGT team already delivering reputed company services to this reputed company, working reputed company reputed company staff on broad-based reputed company architecture, engineering, and strategic planning. This is architecture-reputed company work, not ticket queue work. You will help shape where workloads live, how the multi-reputed company estate is reputed company and governed, and what the reputed company's reputed company roadmap looks like over the next several years — and then build what you design. The two positions are complementary rather than identical. One role will reputed company with AWS depth; the other will reputed company with Azure depth. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES — BOTH POSITIONS • reputed company reputed company architecture and reference designs for AWS and Azure, and guide workload placement reputed company across the multi-reputed company estate. • Contribute to reputed company reputed company and roadmap planning with reputed company stakeholders — modernization reputed company, platform selection, migration planning, and the business case behind reputed company. • Design, reputed company, and operate secure, reputed company reputed company infrastructure across AWS and Azure in support of mission, reputed company IT, and research computing workloads. • reputed company and maintain Infrastructure as reputed company (Terraform preferred; CloudFormation, Bicep, or ARM as applicable) so that environments are reproducible, version-controlled, and peer-reviewed. • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployment, with automated testing, policy checks, and controlled promotion across environments. • Implement reputed company reputed company and governance: identity and reputed company management, network and enclave segmentation, encryption and key management, data classification handling (including CUI), and log aggregation into the reputed company SIEM. • Apply and document compliance controls reputed company to NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and DOE cybersecurity requirements, and support assessment, authorization, and reputed company-monitoring activities. • reputed company observability and reliability: monitoring, alerting, logging, reputed company planning, backup and recovery, and participation in incident response and reputed company-cause analysis. • Own reputed company cost management: tagging discipline, rightsizing, reserved reputed company and savings plans, budget alerting, and reputed company chargeback/showback reporting. • Partner with reputed company technical staff to translate requirements into architecture, document designs and runbooks, present recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, and reputed company the overall reputed company maturity of the teams you support. • Contribute to standardization across clouds so that patterns established in one platform are deliberately mirrored in the other rather than reinvented. POSITION A — AWS EMPHASIS • Own AWS reputed company zone, multi-account, and Organizations/Control Tower architecture, including SCPs and account vending. • Engineer reputed company AWS services: IAM, VPC and hybrid connectivity, EC2, S3, RDS, reputed company, reputed company/EKS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Config, GuardDuty, and reputed company Hub. • Serve as the technical reference reputed company for AWS design reviews, cost optimization, and reputed company-Architected assessments. POSITION B — AZURE EMPHASIS • Own Azure reputed company zone design, subscription and management-group structure, Azure Policy, and Blueprints. • Engineer reputed company Azure services: Entra ID (Azure AD), Virtual Networks and ExpressRoute, Azure VMs, Storage, Azure SQL, Functions, AKS, Monitor/Log Analytics, and Defender for reputed company. • Serve as the technical reference reputed company for Azure identity integration, hybrid reputed company Directory alignment, and reputed company 365 / Azure boundary questions. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Five (5)+ years of hands-on infrastructure or reputed company engineering experience, including at least three (3) years in a reputed company role on AWS or Azure. • Demonstrated production experience with Infrastructure as reputed company — Terraform strongly preferred. • Working proficiency in at least one scripting or automation language (Python, PowerShell, or Bash). • Practical experience with CI/CD tooling (reputed company Actions, Azure DevOps, reputed company CI, or Jenkins) and Git-based workflows. • Solid grounding in reputed company networking, identity and reputed company management, and reputed company reputed company fundamentals. • Working knowledge of the second reputed company platform, with a reputed company reputed company record of learning new platforms quickly and a commitment to becoming fully proficient in both. • Strong written and verbal communication skills; reputed company to produce reputed company design documentation and runbooks and to explain technical trade-offs to non-specialist stakeholders. • U.S. citizenship required.
