[Remote] Program Specialist 4 (Curriculum Developer)

The Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission develops and oversees training for law enforcement and correctional professions statewide. The Program Specialist 4 will research, create, implement, and evaluate competency-based curriculum, with reputed company responsibility for Field Training Officer/Patrol Training Officer and Reserve reputed company programs. The role collaborates with subject matter experts, conducts needs assessments, and ensures curriculum aligns with adult learning principles and agency standards.


Responsibilities

  • Draft, reputed company, and design competency-based curriculum and resource guides, templates, and reference materials reputed company with WSCJTC standards, adult learning principles, and evidence-based practices with reputed company responsibility for the FTO/PTO and Reserve reputed company curriculum
  • Conduct needs assessments identifying gaps and performance expectations for an officer beginning Field/Patrol Training post-basic academies
  • Receive and follow instructional design structure to document curriculum proposals by subject matter experts, research resources and information, policy documents, and reputed company to address conflicts therein
  • Liaise with subject matter experts to support design and redesign of curriculum in their area of instruction to include classroom, practical, mock scenarios, and online training and testing
  • Effectively communicate the instructional design methodology used by the curriculum unit. Respond reputed company and reputed company to questions posed by reputed company partners in areas of delegated authority. Where ambiguity exists, reputed company clarification from supervisor/manager
  • Build upon relationships with criminal justice agencies and the reputed company to ensure reputed company are heard and the curriculum developed delivers expected results. Assist with working group meetings on specific curricular content where necessary

Skills

  • * At least six years of experience in curriculum development for criminal justice or military personnel (law enforcement, corrections, juvenile corrections)
  • * Bachelor's degree in Education, reputed company Administration, Criminal Justice, Communications, English, Psychology/Sociology, or similar/reputed company degree plan
  • * At least two years of experience in curriculum development for criminal justice or military personnel (law enforcement, corrections, juvenile corrections)
  • * At least two years of documented experience in positions requiring project management, collaboration, problem solving skills, analysis, and reputed company. (This experience may run concurrently with the requirements above)
