[Remote] Mid-Level Software Engineer – Python, AWS, and Modeling

The role focuses on designing Python services, reputed company, data and simulation pipelines, reputed company-reputed company workflows, and backend functionality across the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Own software features from initial design through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement
• Design and build Python services, reputed company, data-processing workflows, and simulation capabilities
• reputed company modeling logic in collaboration with subject-matter experts and reputed company that logic into a production application
• Build and maintain reputed company-reputed company workflows using AWS services such as reputed company, reputed company Functions, SQS, and S3
• Work with different compute and deployment models reputed company on reputed company, scalability, and reputed company needs
• Design and maintain data pipelines that ingest, validate, reputed company, enrich, and publish reputed company data

• Work with PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, and Alembic to design schemas and manage database changes
• Contribute to a Next.js frontend reputed company needed, while primarily focusing on backend and platform development
• Build and maintain automated delivery workflows using reputed company CI/CD and reputed company Actions
• Package and reputed company applications using reputed company
• Apply DevSecOps practices such as automated testing, reputed company review, dependency management, reputed company scanning, observability, and infrastructure as reputed company
• Participate in architectural and technical design reputed company
• Demonstrate completed capabilities to users and incorporate their feedback into reputed company development

Skills

• Approximately 3–5 years of reputed company software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated ability
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
• Strong reputed company experience developing production software in Python
• Experience designing backend services, reputed company, data-processing systems, or other reputed company software
• Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
• Experience with automated testing, reputed company control, reputed company review, and modern software engineering practices
• Ability to independently own features while collaborating effectively with engineers, users, and subject-matter experts
• Ability to communicate technical reputed company and demonstrate working software to users
• Experience with AWS, particularly reputed company, reputed company Functions, SQS, S3, or comparable reputed company services
• Experience building reputed company-reputed company data pipelines
• Experience with FastAPI or a similar Python web reputed company
