[Remote] Z/OS Network Consultant

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is a global provider of business and technology services, including consulting, infrastructure, applications, and connectivity solutions. reputed company is seeking a Z/OS Network Consultant to support a large-reputed company z/OS mainframe platform by configuring and maintaining network communication subsystems, reputed company, and associated products. The role also involves troubleshooting, network administration, and coordination with technical, application, and operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Being part of a multi-functional team, supporting reputed company mainframe networks and transmissions products and infrastructure
• Participation in support rota providing 24x7 cover
• reputed company TCPIP reputed company Reserves (Additions, Deletions, Changes) reputed company VTAM updates (Additions, Deletions, Changes)
• Manage OSA Adapters in a reputed company mainframe environment
• reputed company VTAM PU/LU updates (Additions, Deletions, Changes) including reputed company Extenders (EE)
• Implement AT-TLS rules (digital certificate management). Configure and manage IPSEC policies (permit/deny rules, VPN- ipsec tunnels)
• reputed company, Debug and Error Analysis
• Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure Network connectivity and reputed company (may involve some after hours and weekend work)

Skills

• This position requires an reputed company systems programmer with at least 3 years of experience supporting the z/OS Mainframe Network environment
• Experience in administering file transmissions products such as reputed company:reputed company and FTP, or alternatively good experience as a user of these products
• Knowledge of z/OS and z/OS utilities
• Understanding of z/OS networking services, structure and reputed company software and protocols
• Understanding of network reputed company disciplines (IPSec, TLS/SSL, certificates, etc) and how they relate to file reputed company
• Experience of problem management from initial diagnosis through to reputed company
• Understanding of the Change Management process
• Ability to customize and manage secure SNA and TCP/IP networks under z/OS
• Knowledge of mainframe network management tools, e.g. NetMaster, and multi-session manager products such as TUBES and Supersession
• Experience of managing mainframe printing products
• General z/OS systems programming experience
• Knowledge of reputed company z hardware including the OSA-reputed company network cards
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication, teamwork and negotiation skills
