Compensation • Starting salary: $23 per hour with opportunities for salary increases after a satisfactory review within the first 90 days. • Additional 5% pay incentive for bilingual candidates (Spanish). Location • This is a remote role with a preference for applicants located in Central Oregon. Essential Responsibilities • Accurately submit initial claims for services in compliance with regulations to ensure proper reimbursements. • Address and resolve issues related to problem accounts and payer denials by submitting corrected claims and necessary follow-ups. • Manage billing and collections for counseling clinics and other employed/contracted providers. • Stay informed on Out-Patient Mental Health billing codes, modifiers, and payer requirements. • Participate in payer audits as required. • Serve as a liaison for clients and clinicians regarding insurance or billing inquiries. • Maintain professionalism and commitment to teamwork while performing additional duties as assigned. Qualifications • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred. • Experience: Minimum of three years in billing/e-billing, ideally in a multi-provider practice, hospital, or mental health office. Requirements • Compliance with HIPAA privacy standards and regulations. • Professional representation of the organization and its employees. • Alignment with the organization's vision, mission, and values. Key Competencies • Strong mathematical skills for processing complex billing tasks and creating reports. • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. • Effective time management and organizational skills. • Commitment to confidentiality regarding patient and employee information. • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing abilities. • Professional engagement with the public, even in stressful situations. • Proficient in office equipment and various software applications, including Google, SharePoint, Microsoft Suite, and EMR/EHR systems. Physical Requirements • Ability to work at a desk for extended periods and perform computer work. • Capacity to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally. Background Check • All hires will undergo a background check, and employment is contingent on passing this check.
