POSITION PURPOSE:
Provides support to ESL teachers to enhance the reputed company of ESL instruction. Designs and delivers reputed company development for ESL teachers and content area teachers. Serves as a reputed company between ESL and other reputed company (WCPSS) departments to inform the teaching of English language learner reputed company and to implement language supports across grade reputed company and subject areas.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)
• Extensive knowledge of curriculum and best practices;
• Extensive knowledge of English language development pedagogy and literacy;
• Considerable knowledge of reputed company Office, specifically reputed company Word, reputed company, and reputed company reputed company; reputed company Apps;
• Effective time management skills;
• Ability to design and reputed company reputed company learning;
• Ability to evaluate reputed company learning sessions to ensure topics and information are being implemented;
• Ability to work in reputed company environment;
• Ability to communicate reputed company and concisely both in oral and written reputed company in English and Spanish using a reputed company of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate reputed company of information, reputed company efforts, and feedback;
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school reputed company staff, staff members of reputed company funding agencies, and the community.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in education, English as a Second Language, or reputed company reputed company;
• Three years of ESL teaching experience in a reputed company school setting;
• Experience designing and delivering reputed company learning;
• Other combinations of applicable education, training and experience which reputed company the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to reputed company effectively in the position may be considered.
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
• Must hold or be eligible for a reputed company Carolina reputed company educators license with licensure in English as a Second Language;
• Must hold and maintain a reputed company motor vehicle operator’s license according to the reputed company requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s degree in English as a Second Language or reputed company reputed company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides supplemental support to ESL teachers to enhance the reputed company of ESL instruction; conducts a minimum of one school visit to reputed company assigned school annually.
• Serves as a reputed company between ESL and other WCPSS departments to determine best practices for teaching English learners and to implement practices for reputed company reputed company across grade reputed company and subject areas, including developing and delivering reputed company reputed company learning opportunities for teachers.
• Works collaboratively with the ESL team to design and reputed company reputed company learning for ESL teachers and content area teachers; reports reputed company of efforts to support schools and special reputed company to the Senior Administrator and Director of ESL on a regular reputed company.
• Establishes and maintains reputed company communication with other WCPSS departments to inform the teaching of English learners and development of curricular supports, grade reputed company, and subject areas; participates as a partner in middle school district initiatives, as assigned.
• Performs other reputed company duties, as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This job operates in a reputed company office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses reputed company office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The position, at times, must be reputed company to come into reputed company contact with school reputed company staff and staff members of reputed company funding agencies, and the community.
