Vaco is seeking a Google Workspace Administrator/Engineer to join a 1-2 month contract. The ideal engineer for this project would possess a strong understanding of Google Workspace administration and have experience with: Domain Migration: • Oversee the transition of DNS records, ensuring seamless migration of email services, domain names, and associated applications. • Navigate the complexities of transitioning from an existing domain to a new Google Workspace tenant, ensuring minimal disruption. Data Migration Expertise: • Utilize advanced tools and techniques for Google Workspace migrations, including the Google Admin Console, Google Workspace Domain Transfer, and Google Data Migration. • Leverage third-party tools such as Cloudfuze, GS Richcopy360, or CloudM, following best practices for efficient data migration. User Account Migration: • Manage the migration of user accounts, including profiles, emails, documents, and calendar events. • Ensure the integrity of all migrated... data while minimizing impact on users. Collaboration and Support: • Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate a smooth transition, addressing any concerns proactively. • Provide technical support and guidance to users during and after the migration process. Technical Skills: • Leverage scripting languages like Python and automation tools to optimize the migration workflow. • Proficient in Google Workspace APIs (Gmail, Drive, Vault, Calendar) for data migration and integration. • Implement best practices for data migration while maintaining security protocols to ensure user privacy. • Understand Google Workspace security features and best practices for managing a cloud-based environment. Responsibilities: • Manage and update DNS records throughout the domain migration process. • Configure user accounts and email settings in the new Google Workspace tenant. • Execute data migration from the existing environment to the new tenant, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with the project timeline. • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues during user migration using Google or third-party tools. • Coordinate with the MSP for planning, execution, and ongoing support. • Monitor the new environment post-migration and manage resources as needed. • Validate the success of the data migration by ensuring the quality and completeness of transferred data. • Document the entire migration process, including tasks, Q&A sessions, and interactions with the team Apply Job!
