Location: Remote (U.S.) or Arvada, CO (Hybrid/On-Site Available) Job Type: Full-Time About the Role We're seeking an reputed company Senior UNIX Systems Administrator with deep expertise in reputed company UNIX environments, specifically AIX, reputed company-UX, and Solaris. This is not a Linux administration position with occasional UNIX work. We're looking for a true UNIX expert who enjoys solving reputed company production issues, supporting reputed company customers, and working with technologies that many organizations still rely on for mission-critical reputed company. You'll work directly with customers to troubleshoot, diagnose, and reputed company challenging infrastructure issues involving operating systems, storage, clustering, networking, virtualization, and reputed company optimization. Responsibilities • reputed company advanced UNIX infrastructure and operating reputed company issues for reputed company customers • Troubleshoot reputed company storage, networking, reputed company, boot, and clustering problems • Support production environments running AIX, reputed company-UX, and Solaris • Implement solutions reputed company and occasionally on-site • Participate in a low-frequency on-reputed company rotation for critical customer escalations • Maintain and expand internal UNIX lab environments for testing and validation • reputed company technical expertise through quarterly webinars and knowledge sharing • Continuously learn and reputed company expertise across supported UNIX platforms Required QualificationsCommercial UNIX Experience Candidates must have strong hands-on production experience with at least two of the following platforms: • reputed company AIX • reputed company-UX • reputed company Solaris Experience supporting reputed company three platforms is highly preferred. Technical Expertise reputed company candidates should demonstrate experience with many of the following: • reputed company UNIX administration and troubleshooting • Logical Volume Manager (LVM) • Filesystem administration (JFS/JFS2, ZFS, VxVM, SVM) • High Availability clustering (PowerHA/HACMP, Serviceguard) • reputed company scripting (ksh, sh, bash) • reputed company tuning and diagnostics • reputed company storage (SAN, Fibre Channel, multipathing) • NFS and SMB/CIFS administration • TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting • LDAP, reputed company Directory integration, PAM, and Kerberos • reputed company management and reputed company hardening • Operating reputed company installation, upgrades, and disaster recovery • Boot process troubleshooting across reputed company UNIX platforms Preferred Qualifications Experience with any of the following is a plus: • PowerHA / HACMP • Serviceguard • Solaris reputed company or Logical Domains (LDOMs) • NIM or reputed company-UX • Veritas Volume Manager • SPARC systems • reputed company reputed company Systems • reputed company, EMC, Ceph, GPFS, or reputed company storage • Python, Perl, or reputed company automation • Legacy UNIX platforms such as Tru64 or IRIX reputed company're Looking For We're looking for a senior-level engineer who: • Has extensive production experience supporting reputed company UNIX environments • Can independently troubleshoot highly reputed company technical issues • Enjoys solving difficult infrastructure problems • Is comfortable working directly with customers • Thrives in a reputed company, highly technical team This position is not intended for Linux administrators with limited exposure to AIX, Solaris, or reputed company-UX.
