About The Opportunity Support the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students Write IEPs in a timely manner Engage in the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Maintain student records in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Complete necessary paperwork accurately and within designated timelines Provide progress reports as required Conduct 1:1, small group, and whole-class sessions with students Administer Transition Assessments Develop lesson plans aligned with student IEP goals Deliver instruction across various subjects based on the school's curriculum Coordinate and participate in meetings for students with disabilities Facilitate standardized and benchmark assessments Collaborate with colleagues to enhance testing outcomes Safeguard confidentiality of student information and professional matters Maintain accurate records including grade books, attendance, and behavior reports Foster collaboration with parents, colleagues, and external professionals Keep evaluations current with Related Services, updated every three years Offer support and resources for classroom teachers regarding disabilities Fulfill additional duties as assigned Attend professional development sessions as required About You Master's Degree preferred Minimum of three years teaching experience, with at least two years in special education Proficiency in one or more content areas Familiarity with state teaching standards and proficiency testing Willingness to learn and engage in the process Experience working with diverse student populations Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Genuine care for children and a passion for teaching Proficient in computer applications such as Google Docs, MS Office Suite, and email Familiarity with software and databases for IDEA compliance Ability to adapt to new technologies and acquire new skills Strong data analysis skills for informed decision-making Ability to handle confidential information responsibly Willingness to occasionally work evenings and travel locally and in-state Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks Knowledge of co-teaching models is a plus About Us "We believe that every child should be able to be anything they want in life, regardless of their birthplace and circumstances." - CEO & Founder We are a network of high-performing public charter schools serving PK-12 students across the country.
