About the position The Business Analytics Manager for Clinical/Healthcare Analytics at The Cigna Group is responsible for leading a team of analysts to develop and implement innovative analytical solutions that enhance the Custom High Acuity Model (CHAM) for large national accounts. This role involves managing day-to-day analytics operations, collaborating with various stakeholders, and driving initiatives to improve clinical quality and reduce medical costs. Responsibilities • Responsible for the day-to-day management of an analytical staff (3 Business Advisors and 1 Senior Business Advisor) , • Perform complex data research and analysis to support business operations and decision making, including creating data mining architectures/models/protocols, and data analysis methodologies to identify trends in large data sets , • Execute healthcare client, market, and customer level analytics and visualizations in support of Care Coordination and CHAM clinical functions , • Collaborate with client-dedicated Medical Director and Clinical Program Manager to identify and prioritize high value clinical and network opportunities for a client , • Perform analytics processes, including data and analytic development and interpretation, ensuring code and outputs are documented and understandable by other analysts , • Collaborate with partners in Account Management, Operations, Clinical Program, Product, Network Analytics, and others to align on features of work in required focus areas and execute on new initiatives , • Effectively communicate analytic strategies, opportunities, timelines, and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders , • Influence key matrix partners to ensure goals and targets are met , • Drive change initiatives to improve CHAM value , • Identify cross-CHAM opportunities for improvements and collaboration and help develop automated, scalable solutions to capture enhanced value Requirements • Bachelor's degree or higher in Statistics, Biostatistics, Econometrics, Economics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, or equivalent work experience , • 3+ years of health insurance or health system related data/analytics experience solving business problems through the application of analytic approaches , • Previous experience managing an analytical team and/or extensive demonstrated leadership experience , • Experience with diverse healthcare data including claims, provider, network, FFV, EHR, demographic, exercise, pharmacy, lab, biometrics, genomic, and text , • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills with understanding of predictive and evaluative statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining concepts Nice-to-haves • Experience in the healthcare industry , • Ability to understand the business model and provide valid and actionable insights to customers with written, oral, and group presentations , • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Benefits • Health insurance , • 401k plan , • Paid holidays , • Flexible scheduling , • Professional development opportunities Apply Job!
