KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Transactional Processing: • Heavy transactional processing in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and emails. • Manage email inbox and coordinate/enter/reconcile incoming bills with entries into bill.com (which syncs with QBooks online). • Record financial transactions in accounting software accurately and timely. • Categorize banking transactions in QBooks Online. • Match receipts to credit card transactions on an almost daily basis and reconcile 1 credit card statement on a semi-monthly basis. • Assist with payroll processing. • Support the financial end of customer service. We have a customer service team that makes requests of the financial department (i.e. charging client credit cards, reviewing credit card charges made to a client's account, reviewing new client set-ups and charging their credit card initially, managing charging dates, reconciling Accounts Receivable, and other related tasks). • Following up with clients regarding a declined credit card charge to obtain an updated credit card to keep their account current. Required Traits and Skills: • Proficient in QuickBooks Online and excel. • Degree in accounting or comparable on-the-job experience. • Excellent attention to detail. • Ability to follow a set of written tasks accurately. • Good communication skills (since you will be interacting with some of our clients) and interpersonal skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong organizational skills. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. • Physical ability to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week, on your keyboard and mouse. Job is 8:30am – 12:30pm in your time zone, a ½ hour unpaid lunch, and then 1pm – 5pm each workday, Monday thru Friday. • 2 computer screens is mandatory. Internet connection is mandatory. • Knowledge of google docs, dropbox, bill.com, is helpful but not required. • Possess 4-5 years of experience in a similar role. Other Duties: • Assist Controller when requested on various projects and requests.
