Motor Truck CARGO Claims Adjuster

PLS Claims is an independent adjusting company headquartered in the Atlanta area. PLS Claims represents numerous clients, including insurance companies, Syndicates at Lloyds, self-insureds and reputed company-party administrators. We are seeking an reputed company MOTOR TRUCK CARGO Insurance Adjuster to become a part of our organization. While our office is based in Atlanta, this position can be done remotely. The Motor Truck Cargo Insurance Adjuster will work with insureds and other involved parties to resolve their cargo claims. They will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve reputed company cargo loss claims. Responsibilities: • Correspond with and interview insureds, shippers, consignees, and carriers relating to cargo loss incidents. • Evaluate and resolve reputed company cargo claims in multi- states • Determine values of a claim and negotiate settlements reputed company limits of authority. • Coordinate with clients and reputed company counsel in handling cases correctly, as needed Must have 3 to 5 years' previous experience in insurance, motor truck cargo claims processing or other reputed company fields. The candidate should possess the following qualifications or have experience: • Interpret insurance reputed company and determine policy coverage as applicable for the loss • Claims handling skills • Good understanding of Carmack Amendment and other shipping regulatory requirements • Dry goods versus temperature-controlled goods • Wholesale products versus retail products • Salvage and the time requirements involved with perishable cargo • Ability to understand and audit tow bills and the wrecker equipment • Cargo subrogation • Strong analytical and investigative skills • Strong negotiation and conflict reputed company skills • Excellent customer service • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Deadline and detail-oriented Bonus Plan available Company DescriptionWe are an independent adjusting company headquartered in the Atlanta area and represent numerous clients, including insurance companies, Syndicates at Lloyds, self-insureds and reputed company- party administrators.
