Workd is seeking talented Software Engineers to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI or remotely! The intermediate-level Software Engineer's focus is to implement solutions with a team of other engineers, UI/UX engineers, business analysts, and quality analysts. We provide training on our specific platform and infrastructure. Responsibilities • Work with an Agile/Scrum team to develop, test and deploy Workd business applications • Assist with Junior Software Engineer onboarding • Provide mentorship to Junior Software Engineers • Collaborate with Agile/Scrum team to plan solution architecture • Divide user stories into tasks • Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards • Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code • Demo solutions when requested • Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on time and on-budget that meet all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, and extensibility • Provide third-level support to business users • Keep Scrum board up to date • Accurately record time according to established company standards • Participate in Agile project meetings • Complete an annual Self Review as part of the Performance Appraisal and Employee Development Process Requirements • 3+ years of experience developing enterprise grade software systems • Competent critical thinking, debugging/problem identification/resolution skills • Competent capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and to multitask • Competent time-management, interpersonal and collaboration skills • Competent verbal and written communication skills • Advanced Beginner mentoring skills • Competent understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes • Competent ability to apply object-oriented programming concepts • Competent familiarity with the requirements and terminology of one or more business applications • Competent in JavaScript (Typescript preferred) • Competent in Node.js • Competent in HTML (pug/jade preferred) • Competent in CSS (SCSS preferred) • Competent ability to apply Angular/Typescript skills • Competent ability to manage version/source control via GIT • Competent ability to use Integrated Development Environment to work faster • Competent understanding of development cycle scenarios • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline, Code Camp attendance, or equivalent work experience Core Values • Customer Satisfaction: We value our clients and consider them our long-term business partners.
