AWS Cloud Database Engineer(SQL Server)

AWS Cloud Database Engineer San Antonio, TX (Hybrid) Long-Term Contract We’re assisting a client, a prestigious and large investment management company, in their search for a AWS Cloud Database Engineer. This is a long-term contract opportunity based out of San Antonio, TX (Hybrid). Qualifications Education: • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience • 10 years of SQL server administrator experience. • Proficiency in SQL server, Always On, PowerShell and Terraform. • Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation. • Strong PowerShell scripting abilities for automation and troubleshoot/debug existing PowerShell scripts and integration tasks. Technical Skills • Primary: SQL DBA, Always On, PowerShell, AWS (EC2 instances) and Terraform (Extensive experience). • Secondary: PostgreSQL/Auora PostgreSQL and Oracle RDS. • Experience with cloud environments (AWS). • Knowledge of database security best practices and high availability setups for Cloud Environments. • Understanding/building of the Automation and interact with Application team for troubleshooting and debugging framework issues. Preferred Qualifications • It's good to have cloud platform Certifications (AWS). • Experience with additional automation tools (DMS, etc) or programming languages (PowerShell). Responsibilities Database Design & Management • Design and manage highly availability solutions, scalable databases using SQL Server, Always On and Windows Clusters. • Work collaboratively with the Offshore and Onshore team. • Focal point of contact between with Customer and Solugenix team on technical/Solution discussions. • Strong Written/Verbal communication who can deal with customer on daily basis.
