Job description We are seeking a Community Manager/Maintenance Technician with affordable housing experience and strong leadership skills to join our team. This dynamic, hands-on position is responsible for the operating performance of a 40 unit family home community, ensuring great customer service for our residents, while providing a physical environment that is attractive and well maintained. General maintenance responsibilities would include janitorial, filter changes, battery changes, light landscape, lawn mowing, plumbing, electrical, etc. If you are passionate about affordable housing and seek a quality work experience that supports training and growth, please apply today. Responsible for the following, individually and as a property team: · Tenant Relations/Customer Service · Occupancy · Rent collection · Lease and rule compliance · Managing expenditures · Maintenance oversight, including work order monitoring and curb appeal · Compliance Tax Credit programs · Produce accurate monthly closings · Light janitorial & maintenance Necessary Skills: · Positive leader who supports the team · Proven problem-solving ability · Clear written and verbal communication skills · Work independently; maintain accessibility/approachability · Assess and report condition of common area, units and facilities · Knowledge of Appfolio, RealPage, Yardi, or similar management software · Fair Housing Law/Practices · Light janitorial & maintenance Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent) Specialized Experience: Direct Property Management experience: 1 year (Preferred) LIHTC experience: 1 year (Preferred) Certificates and Licenses: Valid driver's license and means of transportation Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities: · Knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel · Ability to read financial reports and report variances · Ability to interact effectively with residents, vendors, and contractors · Ability to thrive and make decisions in a fast-paced environment · Attention to detail, high level of accuracy, and strong sense of urgency Our management company is an equal opportunity employer and housing provider.
