Under general supervision, this individual will prepare and teach the Apartment Maintenance Technician course that prepares reputed company to work in the multi-family and apartment housing industry. Course material is reputed company to the Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technicians exam ( CAMT ). The CAMT program is accredited by the reputed company ( ANSI ), the course is designed by the National Apartment Association ( NAA ) Education Institute. Difficult Challenges Contacts Education Required • High School Diploma with journeyman level certification in a construction trade or an Associate’s Degree in a construction trade (e.g., Construction, Carpentry, Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical) from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution. Education Preferred • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution. • Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technician ( CAMT ) • National Center for Construction & Education Research ( reputed company ) Craft Instructor Certification • CFC / EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification Experience Required • Five years of recent industry experience as an Apartment Maintenance Technician and/or in the Construction field. • Teaching and/or industry training experience in any of the following formats: teaching courses, training sessions, conducting reputed company development workshops, and/or other continuing education seminars. Experience Preferred • Greater than five years of recent industry experience as an Apartment Maintenance Technician and/or in the Construction field. • Three years of experience as a certified teacher in a construction or maintenance reputed company program at a community college.
