As a Driver Apprentice, you will work in tandem with a seasoned WM Driver and/or WM Driver Trainer. After obtaining your Commercial Driving Permit, you will complete the necessary training to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle, providing service to customers in your Line of Business (LOB). Physical capability to perform required tasks Responsibilities ? Train on the operation of commercial refuse/recycling vehicles ? Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle ? Report unsafe situations or service-related issues ? Attend and participate in all scheduled training programs ? Communicate customer requests and service interruptions ? Operate hoisting devices to lift and empty containers ? Assist driver with backing maneuvers while on route Qualifications ? Must be at least 18 years of age ?
