Part-Time Nonprofit Bookkeeper & Administrator (Remote)

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Administrator to help keep our internal operations running smoothly. This role is essential in supporting the financial, administrative, and compliance functions that keep our mission moving forward. Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Financial Support:
• Record, categorize, and reconcile financial transactions
• Track organizational expenses, receipts, and reimbursements
• Manage recurring expenses, vendor invoices, and subscriptions
• Coordinate and track grant payments, submission timelines, and reporting
• Prepare documentation for audits and annual reports
• Liaise with external accountants and bookkeepers
• Manage acknowledgment and tracking of donor contributions
Administrative & Operational Support:
• Maintain and update insurance policies and ensure compliance
• Keep accurate board meeting records and minutes
• Manage employee files, contracts, and onboarding/offboarding
• Track employee time off and review timesheets for payroll accuracy
• Coordinate with 3rd-party payroll service
What We’re Looking For
• 2+ years of experience in nonprofit bookkeeping and admin/ops roles
• Experience conducting nonprofit audits in MA
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• High level of trust and ability to handle confidential information
• Familiarity with accounting tools like QuickBooks, Bill.com, and spreadsheets
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
