Immersive (VR/AR) UX/UI Designer
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years as a UX designer, UI designer or similar experience
Minimum 2 years experience designing mixed reality, VR, desktop, mobile or web applications
Expert knowledge of user-centered design principles
Knowledge, and use of user testing, to lead successful design and implementation
Demonstrable mastery of design tools (Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/After Effects/InVision)
Strong portfolio of previous work related to the design of immersive, interactive experiences
Ability to prototype ideas in Adobe Suite and / or Unity
Deep experience (and a great passion for) with AR, MR or spatial computing platforms
Experience shipping augmented or mixed reality solutions (preferably enterprise)
Effective cross-discipline communicator and collaborator
Experience designing interfaces for products shipped to either Oculus Quest, Microsoft Hololens, and / or Magic Leap One platforms
Proficiency in Unity 3D, 1+ years of experience working with Unity game engine
Understanding of data structures, 3D math, C#, and the Unity asset and build pipeline
Knowledgeable in Unity development best-practices (prefabs, asset naming, organized scene hierarchy)
Able to work in a remote, geographically distributed, and diverse Agile development environmentAbout Us:

BadVR is currently seeking anImmersive UX/UI Designer.The ideal candidate is Developer interested in creating captivating and accessible user interfaces and experiences in VR. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, passion for good design, and knowledge of the Unity game engine and mobile platforms. They must have solid communication skills and be able to work with other Unity engineers, technical artists, marketing, and product owners to deliver high quality, immersive, and accessible user experiences to our users. You will work on delivering a best-in-class user experience that is clear, intuitive, and universally accessible. Working with teams of experts across multiple disciplines, you will be able to leverage your user experience skills to guide the design and development of the interface from start to finish, to help create some of the world's best immersive interactions.
This position will play a key role in the future of our platform. From brainstorming through implementation, theImmersive UX/UI Designerwill possess a relentless attention to detail and an uncommon passion for usability, accessibility, and will be a tireless advocate and voice for the end user at all steps of the process. Candidates will have a deep understanding of the principles and best practices of human interface design with at least 1 shipped project (with a full development cycle from concept through completion). This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with other team leads and partners.Your Role and Responsibilities:
Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process by making compelling designs and concepts and expressing them in compelling visual and verbal ways, such as: stories, sketches, wireframes, flow diagrams, models, 2D/3D mockups, prototypes
Clearly rationalize and justify design work, advocate for users’ needs
Create compelling interactive product interface demos and prototypes
Interpret and translate complex ideas and processes into simple and beautiful products, interfaces, and user experiences
Design and develop new 3D UI concepts using real-time rendered motion effects
Work directly with our world-class development team to implement interactive menus and HUDs
Contribute, innovative, and develop original ideas on all aspects of product design and development.
Design, document, prototype, and develop new user interfaces and user interactions for 3D / immersive experiences
Source and create industry-level assets for new UX features and improvementsInterpersonal Characteristics:
