Job Title: Benefits, Payroll, and HR Accountant (Part-Time) Company: LOCG LLC Work Schedule: Part-Time (1–15 hours per week) Work Location: Remote or Hybrid ⸻ Position Summary LOCG LLC, a dynamic and growing federal contractor and private sector service provider, is seeking a Part-Time Benefits, Payroll, and HR Accountant to oversee benefit administration, payroll processes, and HR financial compliance. This position is ideal for a highly skilled accounting professional with HR familiarity, available for 1 to 15 hours per week, with flexibility around workload peaks. ⸻ Key Responsibilities Retirement & Deferred Compensation • Administer 401(k) and deferred compensation plans, including non-standard or executive benefit structures. • Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS, and DOL requirements. • Coordinate and support nondiscrimination testing, Form 5500 filings, and plan audits. • Maintain plan records, perform reconciliations, and liaise with third-party administrators and auditors. Benefits Administration • Manage benefit enrollments, terminations, and changes across medical, dental, vision, life, and HSA accounts. • Conduct annual open enrollment coordination and employee communication. • Audit benefit deductions and align with payroll records. • Serve as liaison between employees and benefits providers, resolving benefit-related inquiries and discrepancies. Payroll Processing & Support • Support payroll processing (biweekly/monthly) in collaboration with finance operations using platforms like ADP or Deltek Costpoint. • Reconcile payroll records, benefits deductions, and retirement contributions. • Research and resolve payroll-related discrepancies between HR, payroll, and accounting platforms. • Assist with end-of-year payroll reconciliation and reporting for compliance. Compliance, HR & Policy Research • Ensure HR and payroll compliance with federal, state, and local laws. • Maintain current documentation for policies, regulatory changes, and procedures. • Assist with internal audits and prepare data for external reporting when required. Limited Payroll Backup (Multi-State/Project-Based) • Provide backup payroll support for multi-state operations or federal project requirements. • Remit tax payments, assist with compensation documentation, and track workers’ comp allocations as necessary. Other Projects & Administrative Support • Support implementation of new HR/payroll systems or benefit providers. • Draft and revise internal HR and payroll policy documentation. • Coordinate onboarding documentation from a benefits/payroll setup perspective. ⸻ Qualifications Required: • Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll, benefits, HR accounting, or retirement administration. • Demonstrated knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and payroll tax regulations. • Experience with 401(k), deferred compensation plans, and multi-state payroll compliance. • Familiarity with payroll/HR systems (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, Paychex, or Deltek Costpoint). Preferred: • Previous experience in government contracting, professional services, or union/non-union payroll structures. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and cloud-based HRIS/payroll platforms. • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. ⸻ Additional Information • Compensation: Hourly rate based on experience (DOE). • Classification: Part-Time Contractor or W-2 Employee (as agreed). • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Apply Job!
