Job description: The Systems, Support & Training Group at Penguin Random House seeks an Associate Director, Sales Reporting & Support to join the Team. In this role, you will manage a small team to develop and support PRH systems and processes, with a primary focus on sales operations and reporting.Collaboration is at the core of the team's work. You will work across departments to enhance systems and applications, improve workflows, advise on business processes and best practices, and support and train users.Specific responsibilities include:
- Own and manage internal sales reporting systems, including development, user support, bug resolution, and company-wide communication.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions
- Lead the iterative development of Power BI, including sprint management, quality assurance, and the rollout of new dashboards.
- Create comprehensive documentation for new and established internal systems and Power BI dashboards. Implement best practices for data visualization, ensuring clarity, consistency, and usability for end users.
- Stay up to date with the latest Power BI features and best practices to continuously improve reporting capabilities
- Work closely with data engineers to integrate data from various sources and maintain data accuracy and integrity. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with data security and governance policies.
- Provide training and support to end users to maximize adoption and utilization of PowerBI and other sales reporting tools
- Manage cross-team projects related to new reporting development
- 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Sales Reporting/Analysis, or a related field
- Advanced PowerBI skills required (ability to design interactive dashboards and reports; create data models to analyze complex datasets; collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources to ensure accuracy and relevance)
- Advanced Excel skills required (ability to build pivot tables, vlookups, create compound and complex formulas, data validation)
- Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling techniques
- Analytical, data-driven approach; logical thinker with ability to articulate meaningful conclusions found in the data
- Ability to effectively prioritize work across multiple projects with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across different departments and levels of the organization
- Experience managing one or more direct reports
