Job description: FSA - Lead Freight Securement Assistant (Janesville, WI)Compensation: $20-$22 per hour and includes weekly discretionary performance pay!FSA's are a entry-level position responsible for assisting and tarping freight on Kaiser Transport Inc. trailers. The priority is to properly secure freight and assist as many Drivers as possible on any given work shift by working safely, efficiently, and following the securement plan as closely as possible.Responsibilities Include:

• Assist Drivers with freight securement:

• Assist as many Drivers as possible to properly secure freight.
• Oversee FSA responsibilities to ensure safe and efficient freight securement.
• Recognize and act on Safety Concerns and unsafe work conditions.
• Assist Drivers to properly secure and tarp freight
• Operating forklift is not a responsibility of the role.

This role is accountable to develop and maintain a strong sense of teamwork and clear communications between the Drivers and Yard leaders.

• Constant check-in and prioritization of the work plan for shift is necessary
• Coordinate the loading and unloading of freight on trucks or trailers, ensuring proper security techniques are followed.
• Adhere to all OSHA/DOT safety rules and regulations and participate in a safe work environment
• Accountable for achieving aggressive work goals as a team
• Coordinate with drivers, dispatchers, and other personnel to ensure efficient and timely loading and unloading operations.

Other important duties as assigned including:

• Conduct daily facilities cleaning & maintenance
• Conduct daily yard cleaning & maintenance

Requirements:

• Speak and Read English
• Able to understand and follow verbal and written directions from supervisor and/or co-workers
• Self-motivated and be able to work without direct supervision
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have free movement of wrists, arms, and hands
• Must have average to excellent body coordination
• Must be able to work from heights; from ground level to possible heights of 20 feet
• Ability to lift and carry up to 130 pounds
• Ability to Push & Pull from moderate to maximum effort
• Ability to bend at waist and kneel while possibly lifting at the same time
• Ability to reach/twist in conjunction with pushing, pulling, climbing, kneeling, and bending
• Have adequate body balance to climb, bend, lift, and crawl onto, around and over cargo
• Good hearing and vision -- Must pass a color vision test
• Required to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Offers of employment will be contingent on drug testing, background checks and a post-offer physical assessment.Pay structure: $20 - $ 22 per hour and includes weekly discretionary performance pay.This is a full time non-exempt position and you must be available up to 50 hours per week and weekends based on business need. The Lead Freight Securement Position (LFSA) work shift starts at 4pm daily and ends based on business need.
