- Product strategy aligned with the Marketing strategy
- Identify and specify market requirements, working closely with marketing, data, and commercial teams.
- Translate marketing needs into technical requirements and ensure R&D receives complete user stories.
- Plan, manage, and track all beef-related activities, ensuring holistic control and balance.
- Ensure the roadmap aligns with the business's strategic objectives by setting proper project priorities, seeking optimization, and resolving conflicts.
- Provide ongoing guidance and mentorship to ensure the fulfillment of program objectives.
- Follow governance processes in species programs.
- Build partnerships with marketing and other relevant stakeholders to promote continuous growth while ensuring daily business operations.
- Manage the end-to-end product cycle from strategic roadmap creation, design, development, deployment, and user acceptance testing
- Communicate market needs and time requirements to design and development teams
- Define and validate product requirements with the market through customer and partner meetings
- Create detailed Product Requirements Documentation (PRDs) and Marketing Requirements (MRD) based on marketing strategy
- Manage both Feedlot COE and CowCalf COE, ensuring depth understanding of technology, compute science, and the beef market
- Lead a team directly and manage many other teams in a matrix structure
- Make rapid, independent decisions and lead with vision together with the commercial teams
- Maintain close interfaces with our biggest customers and discuss with their senior level
- Ensure support for the field and develop relevant needed features and products
- Bachelor's degree in relevant area of study
- 10 years experience in commercial or pharmaceutical background in beef
- Strong background in program and product management, including both software and hardware.
- Prior experience in creating Product Requirements Documentation (PRD's)
- Ability to lead a team effectively, even without formal authority.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in managing end-to-end programs and product development lifecycles.
- Independent, proactive, and visionary manager with the ability to make tough decisions
