- Implementing and overseeing governance processes across all U.S. benefits pillars, including health & welfare, retirement, disability and other benefit types.
- Proactively identifying and driving operational process improvements in partnership with benefits Subject Matter Experts to enhance efficiency and/or control cost.
- Developing vendor management tools and processes to be used by Subject Matter Experts, including service/performance assessments & strategic planning support.
- Owning or supporting various compliance and government reporting responsibilities specific to U.S. benefits, including SOX, IRS and Department of Labor requirements.
- Supporting strategic planning processes for 3M Global Benefits team.
- Driving initiatives under the direction of Vice President, Global Benefits.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and Five (5) years of experience with one or more of the following in a private, public, government or military environment: Employee benefits administration and operations, Finance, Audit, Procurement and/or Legal.
- •High school degree or equivalent with nine (9) years of experience with one or more of the following in a private, public, government or military environment: Employee benefits administration and operations, Finance, Audit, Procurement and/or Legal.
- Understanding of compliance, governance, and other aspects of U.S. employee benefits.
- Two (2) years of experience developing and/or maintaining governance processes and protocols.
- Two (2) years working with large and/or mid-sized service vendors.
- Project management experience.
- Self-motivated, creative, curious & comfortable navigating ambiguity.
- Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require work on location in Maplewood, MN at least 3 days per week)
