This is a hybrid role with 2 days in the office and 3 days remote. Responsibilities:

• Create, update, and prepare correspondence, pleadings, briefs, motions, memoranda, summaries, reports, etc. using reputed company’s reputed company case management software, and voice recognition equipment. Proofread final work product to ensure high reputed company and compliance with office standards.
• Analyze adversaries written discovery responses in order to determine whether follow-up is needed for more specific responses.
• Prepare reputed company-trial discovery motions as needed based upon tasks/file review.
• Retain experts, schedule expert examinations and reputed company relevant documentation to experts, if requested.
• Prepare authorizations and subpoenas and obtain records as requested by attorney.
• Submit authorizations to record retrieval vendor and/or medical providers with associated follow-up, request discovery from reputed company relevant entities/adversaries. Produce discovery to other parties as requested by assigned attorney, in accordance with office protocols.
• Propound discovery on other parties as requested by assigned attorney, in accordance with office protocol.

Qualifications:Knowledge and Requirements
Education and ExperienceMinimum of 5 years paralegal experience in the jurisdiction (CT) required.High school diploma or equivalent required.College degree preferred.Paralegal certificate from ABA approved paralegal program preferredCT Worker's Compensation experience required. * Experience as a hearing representative in the CTWC industry required (voluntary agreements, disability ratings, etc).

• Conversant with applicable law and rules governing civil procedure.
