- Apply and implement codes and regulations of Local, State, Federal Agencies and 3M that apply to equipment safety and operability.
- Provide Production, Division Engineering, PI&C Engineering and Plant Engineering advanced systems expertise with the ability to program, install and optimize new equipment and controls.
- Work will at times require the coordination, layout, documentation, facilitation and training of other crafts, trainee’s, and Plant Engineering Technician’s.
- Maintain/Program/Troubleshoot Using Programing: Electronic and Electrical Equipment and Components and Hydraulic/Pneumatic Equipment
- Assist with the moving of material, equipment and machinery using standard methods of lifting, rigging, hoisting, blocking, skidding and rolling. Operate PIV’s to include, but not limited to Forklift and the WAV.
- Ensure accuracy of shop work orders in the Maintenance Management System for accurate record keeping.
- Possess a two-year technical diploma or higher from an accredited institution and Minimum of two (2) years of electrical and/or controls maintenance experience (including apprenticeship experience) in a private, public, government or military environment
- High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution and Minimum of four (4) years of electrical and/or controls maintenance experience (including apprenticeship experience).
- Available for weekend work, working overtime, rotating shifts, and/or short notice shift coverage
- Requires having taken and scored Medium or High on the MSTB Test
- Obtain certification to operate PIVs to include Forklift and WAV within one (1)-month of starting the position
- CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) certification
- Minimum of ten (10) years of mechanical and/or electrical experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in non-woven fibers, web coating or a related industry.
- Possesses the skills to perform mathematical calculations needed to complete tasks
- Meets or exceeds requirements of quality, compliance, and task completion, along with any other requirements
- Proven skill level at dealing with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer’s) - prints, drawings, charts, documentation, manuals, procedures, calibrations, work layout, work coordination and advanced software.
- Proven control system expertise - open and closed, full understanding of control loops.
- Proven programming expertise - configure, edit, change, add, develop, de-bug, modify application software.
- Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing work environment
- Experience handling hazardous waste material
- Experience and history of good safe operation practices
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Must be able to read, write legibly, understand and communicate in English.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
