Our facility offers behavioral and psychological treatment for adults and adolescents through our acute programs, adolescent residential programs, as well as programs for active duty military. This individual will help assist the IT Manager by coordinating the planning, installation, operations, and integration of computer systems within the hospital and to off-site locations. Repairs and maintains the personal computers within the hospital and off-site locations. Responsible for troubleshooting and identifying training needs. Responsible for maintain a blueprint of all computer cables within the facility. Responsible for all tasks to provide and connect computers to specified departments. Performs Server Administrative duties. Responsible for maintenance and the configuration of network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls). - N/A
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience. Minimum of one year’s experience in Information Systems. Healthcare experience is preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age per Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services.
- Must have patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
- Good communication skills; must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Basic clerical skills, basic experience with office equipment (telephone, copy machine, fax, etc.)
- Experience with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Ability to problem solve and accept feedback when circumstances warrant such actions.
- Willingness to interact with patients with varying levels of cognitive functioning.
