- Responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of an organization's cloud-based network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability across various cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Manage and coach a team of cloud engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Develop and enforce network security policies, including firewall rules, encryption, and VPN configurations.
- Building the network automation capability and standards within the Telecom cloud team.
- Providing service management and technical support of network security technologies and cloud native services.
- Monitor cloud networking costs and implement strategies for efficient bandwidth and resource usage.
- Managing day-to-day operations of the cloud network & security environments and provide clear priorities to your team.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Ten (10) years of combined experience working security, networking, cloud computing, system administration in a private, public, government or military environment
- Four (4) years of AWS experience
- Two (2) years of Azure experience and programming, scripting, or DevOps.
- Experience leading/managing personnel with a geographically distributed network of locations.
- Experience architecting, implementing and managing security technologies
- Familiarity with industry compliance standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).
- Strong understanding of network and firewall architecture
- Knowledge of Intrusion Prevention and Detection Systems
- Knowledge of Network Traffic Analytics and Packet Capture Systems
- Proficiency with IAC tools (e.g. Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation)
- Strong ability to solve complex problems and identify opportunities for process improvement / automation.
- Managing software license compliance for assigned tools and services.
- Ensuring monitoring, alerting, and backups of assigned services.
- Defining and maintaining architecture and standards of assigned environments.
- Partner with DevOps, IT operations, and software development teams to integrate and streamline processes.
- Collaboratively work with customers to expose new technologies and capabilities.
- Hybrid Eligible: (Job duties allow for some remote work but require travel to 3M Center, MN at least 3 days per week)
