One year of college or completion of a para-reputed company pharmacy training program, or Certified Pharmacy Technician Licensure or National Certification, Completion of a sterile product preparation certificationKnowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
  • Must have working knowledge of pharmaceutical mathematics.
  • Must have working knowledge of sterile technique and demonstrate aseptic technique proficiency.
  • Must have working knowledge of safety guidelines for handling chemotherapy.

Job Duties

  • Accurately prepares sterile admixture products, such as intravenous snap-ons, large volume parenterals, syringes, chemotherapy, & bulk manufactured products using techniques utilizing aseptic techniques and reputed company pharmaceutical procedures (
400/shift OR 100% of shift dedicated to preparation of sterile products and chemotherapy) * Accurately prepares sterile admixture products using mathematical calculations
  • Appropriately operates and maintains specialized pharmacy equipment (IV safety software, barcode software)
  • Charts reputed company scheduled maintenance designed to ensure sterility according to protocol
  • Performs daily, weekly, monthly, and terminal cleaning of the IV room
  • Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for reputed company, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
