Their role goes beyond basic technical support and often involves leadership, training, and strategic contributions.This position reports to the District Service Manager and is part of the Leica service department working remotely to cover Colorado, Idaho, Utah install base.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Their role goes beyond basic technical support and often involves leadership, training, and strategic contributions.This position reports to the District Service Manager and is part of the Leica service department working remotely to cover Colorado, Idaho, Utah install base.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work on our cutting-edge Leica high-end microscopes including confocal, infrared, and super resolution microscopes.
- Visit customers (primarily universities and hospitals) for preventive maintenance actions, fault analysis, upgrades, installation, maintenance and repair to achieve optimum customer care delivering professional service with effective working practices.
- Support Sales Representatives in activities such as installations and demo/exhibitions.
- Collaborate closely with the Service Team to ensure all customers in the region are provided professional after-sales service, including exchanging valuable information resulting from customer contacts to increase customer happiness and sales.
- Cooperate closely with Customer Care to ensure smooth and fast processes that lead to delighted customers.
- 4 + yrs. of relevant experience and/or vocational training in a technical, scientific, or engineering background or relevant military experience.
- Electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to travel up to 70%.
- Ability to travel – 70 % travel, overnight
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lb, also the ability to sit or stand for long durations of time
