- Interacts and communicates with designated supervisor to coordinate and integrate components of the infection control program.
- Learn about and assist with safety audits, including patient care and support areas.
- Learn about and assist with data collection.
- Assisting in planning and implementing infection prevention and control education and training opportunities.
- Gathering information and develop educational materials on infection prevention best practices.
- Conducting research and literature review on current health-related topics.
- Participating in committee meetings, monthly webinars, taking notes, data analysis, administrative tasks, and other duties as assigned.
- Enrollment in college/university in undergraduate or graduate courses or recent graduate of a preferred field of study.
- Preferred fields of study; Public Health or related field, Epidemiology, Health Administration, or Nursing.
- Ability to work independently and adhere to schedule with minimum supervision.
- Basic computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel), Outlook, and Survey Monkey.
- Basic proficiency in medical terminology and a clear understanding of medical confidentiality.
