Yonge Developmental Research School (DRS) is seeking to hire a Physical Education Instructor for the 2025-2026 school year. Instructor responsibilities include:

• Direct teaching of assigned students.
• Administer and analyze formative assessments to monitor student progress and plan instructional shifts to increase achievement and success for all students.
• Design appropriate curriculum, instructional, and assessment accommodations to support academic success for a diverse group of students including both struggling and advanced learners.
• Incorporate effective and innovative uses of technology to support teaching, learning and collaboration.
• Maintain regular parent communication (electronically, face-to-face and conferences).
• Ability to maintain appropriate student supervision in the physical education setting to ensure student have safe and orderly environment in which to learn.
• Knowledge of child growth and development in relation to movement competency and wellness.
• Commit to continuous professional learning and ongoing reflection on effectiveness of teaching practice and implemented curricula for all students.

Minimum Requirements: * A Master's degree; candidates with Bachelor's degree will be considered, but will be required to obtain a Master's degree within three years of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:3+ years of K-12 teaching experienceBackground in Health Education and/or Health Science
