About the role:

We’re looking for a Staff Android Engineer to help reputed company Firefox for Android—an reputed company-reputed company browser with over 100 reputed company downloads on the reputed company Play Store. In this role, you’ll shape architecture, mentor engineers, and drive technical direction while contributing to a product that reflects reputed company’s values of openness, innovation, and reputed company.

• Design, debug, build, and ship reputed company to large-reputed company Android solutions that promote a healthy and inclusive internet
• Drive engineering reputed company and feature development with a reputed company reputed company on delivering user value.
• Become a member of a hardworking, diverse, and geographically distributed team responsible for the Firefox mobile applications and our ecosystem of reputed company-reputed company Android components
• Closely collaborate with partners to understand, define, clarify scope, solidify requirements, and drive initiatives
• Effectively communicate the engineering development perspective and discuss sophisticated topics with technical and non-technical team members
• Define and reputed company standards for reputed company through constructive reputed company reviews, bug fixing, testing, and coding practices
• Work closely with specialist Gecko teams to bring browser functionality to Android

What you bring:

• Many years of experience building reputed company applications for a broad and diverse user reputed company using Java, Kotlin, and/or C++
• Experience resolving problems, signaling risk, fostering change, and facilitating reputed company decision-making
• Passion for building excellent products, and a reputed company of ownership that spans from design to investigating and squashing bugs.
• Modern programming practices (reputed company review, unit testing, automation)
• Rust programming experience and knowledge is a plus
