We own Indeed’s platform for delivering candidate recommendations to employers, serving millions of requests per day to power many products across Indeed. We build our very own recommendation systems to find the best matches, leveraging Indeed’s data and machine learning techniques. We work with many teams across Indeed to include more recommendation sources onto our platform and deliver matches more widely across Indeed’s many products. We build comprehensive analytic tools, so we can understand our users, measure the impact of our work, and make the best decisions. Our systems are very large in scale and high-performing. You will work in a team of extremely talented software engineers, data scientists, and product scientists. You will regularly be collaborating with teams outside of your team and your organization, to make progress on critical projects. • Responsibilities* • Design and build large-scale, performant, and robust systems that deliver great matches to employers • Architect new solutions and validate them through A/B testing • Participate in code reviews and design reviews in the team to maintain high standards • Support your own applications during business hours • Make data-driven decisions, utilizing our analytics systems • Collaborate daily with colleagues from many job functions: software engineers, product managers, data scientists, product scientists, and UX designers • Work on projects that involve members in and out of your own team • Mentor other engineers We’re excited about you because you have: • 3+ years of software engineering experience • Experience programming in Java, Kotlin, or a similar programming language • Experience working on large-scale, high-performance, and resilient systems • Great communication and collaboration skills • A willingness to learn and take on new challenges Skills/Competencies • 3+ years of software engineering experience • Experience programming in Java, Kotlin, or a similar programming language • Experience working on large-scale, high-performance systems • Communication and collaboration skills • Salary Range Transparency* Austin, Metro Area 109,000 - 159,000 USD per year New York City, Metro Area 134,000 - 194,000 USD per year Seattle, Metro Area 132,000 - 192,000 USD per year San Francisco, Bay Area 140,000 - 204,000 USD per year Remote, US 109,000 - 159,000 USD per year Salary Range Disclaimer The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position in the given work location.
