Grow your career as a successful Group Accounting Specialist with Apple Leisure Group Vacations, one of our 14 industry-leading brands. In this role, you will assist in completing daily tasks being assigned to this team to ensure proper managing of funds and adjustments are being conducted with accuracy and documentation of each transaction. Keeping the financial integrity of each group booking as a priority, while supporting both the internal and external customer on all questions and requests related to the groups accounting process. A successful Group Accounting Specialist will: • Process group hotel payments by analyzing invoices and correcting discrepancies • Collect credits due to over payments as part of the group accounting finalization process • Provide suppliers with ACH details for deposits and final payment remittances • Assist in completing daily accounting reports, providing quality assurance so bookings are paid in full by deadlines • Action Group cancellation processes • Complete final adjustment such as comps and moving of funds between child reservations, refunds • Action daily accounting forms submitted by the internal teams • Ensure proper monitoring and quality assurance is being met to uphold the financial integrity of each group by aligning closely with the group leadership team • Work on special projects as needed This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management deems necessary A successful Group Accounting Specialist will have: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience • Knowledge of systems such as Microsoft Office and other office procedures and terminology • Customer Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service • Group process experience and/or travel related experience • Ability to multi-task and remain organized • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues • Proficient in both Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word Additional Required Experience: • The ability to communicate clearly • Written and verbal communication • Write and speak clearly, using grammatically correct language • Identify problems and solutions • Computer navigation skills • Ability to work in a high volume, deadline driven, high pressure environment • Consistent attendance is required • The ability to manage and resolve conflict in a stressful environment • The ability to work in a team environment • Must be able to perform repetitive motions: making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers • The ability to follow instructions About Apple Leisure Group As North America’s only vertically integrated travel, hospitality and leisure management group, Apple Leisure Group is an industry innovator that combines the expertise of 14 leading brands.
