Job Overview The Enterprise Architect is an experienced and seasoned IT architect with a broad range of technical skills, and a deep understanding of software, hardware, and technologies used across the enterprise. The Enterprise Architect will provide guidance, standards, and technical capabilities for IT to meet business objectives at the organizational level. The Enterprise Architect will partner with the EA Director/Manager and Architecture team to document standards, promote stewardship of governance, and help Solution Architects with roll out of standard tools and technologies. The individual will be familiar with best practices and industry standards, as well as emerging technologies not used by CCCI. This experience will reflect software development, architecture, infrastructure, security and data, as well as methodologies and strategies to standardize with flexibility across the enterprise. The Enterprise Architect will also need to be able to develop business knowledge, share the knowledge and make technical decisions that enable the business to operate more efficiently and meet business objectives. The Enterprise Architect is accountable for guidance, standards, and technical capabilities at the organization level. Duties & Responsibilities  Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the organizationÂs business processes, goals, and strategies  Assist EA Director/Manager in the development and maintenance of an organizational level 1-, 3-, and 5-year EA roadmap aligned to business objectives  Partner with IT Directors and Business Partners to align business needs and IT requirements at the organization level  Develop standard frameworks that align CCCIÂs IT tools, technology, infrastructure and security with business processes/data to improve the efficiency and productivity of business operations  Partner with Solution Architects to produce and maintain a connected, enterprise-wide view of capability mappings  Partner with Solution Architects to produce and maintain documentation of applications and dependencies across the enterprise  Review and align on the organizationÂs enterprise strategies to ensure cohesive and effective implementation across all business functions  Proactively identify areas of improvement in the current IT environment such as consolidating duplicative technologies and come up with solutions to solve  Stay current with emerging technologies, in collaboration with fellow architects and Domain Experts, that are relevant to CCCI business objectives, advocating for innovative solutions that deliver added value  Establish and promote IT standards and guidance for consistent use of technologies and tools at CCCI  Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to EA team  Collaborate with Solution Architects, Infrastructure Architects, Security Architects, Data Architects, and other Domain Experts to promote alignment with security, infrastructure, delivery and EA policies / best practices in technology decision and solution design  Document standard organizational level IT solutions to common use cases  Maintain a listing of organizational level architectural tech debt and advocate for initiatives to remediate  Create architecture templates that other architects will use to apply EA standards and guidelines to individual projects / initiatives  Review architecture documents produced by other architects to ensure they align with the overall EA vision Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities  To be successful in this position the individual needs to have:  Excellent communication skills  Ability to mentor and coach others  Ability to work with the Business, IT Directors, Architects, PMO, Delivery Teams and a variety or other roles to solve business problems leveraging technology  Good presentation and explanatory skills, with the ability to present/convey solutions in a non-technical manner  Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities  An understanding of, and ability to use, cloud design patterns to steer business requirements into enterprise-wide technical strategies  Knowledge of security design techniques  Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly  Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks and ability to apply concepts that work within the organization  Experience with technical, application, and information architecture delivery/documentation techniques and methodologies  Knowledge of application, business, cloud, data, infrastructure, and security architecture disciplines  Leadership expectations include proactively guiding developers, leads, and other architects related to system knowledge and technologies and processes Minimum Qualifications  BachelorÂs degree (4 years) or equivalent Technology Certification  Knowledge acquired through 7+ years of work experience spanning multiple IT disciplines/domains, such as technical architecture, application development, middleware, database management, cloud management, mobile management, data integrations and exchange frameworks, agile delivery, CI/CD Preferred Qualifications  BachelorÂs degree (4 years) in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field  5+ Years of Agile Delivery in a Matrixed Organizational Structure  5+ Years of CI/CD experience - Tools, Frameworks and best practices Work Environment  Position is Charlotte, NC based with need to be in the office 3+ days per week As an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status. .
