AV Safety Triage Analyst

As an AV Safety Triage Analyst, you will play a critical role in helping reputed company evaluate and improve the behavioral safety and hardware performance of our autonomous vehicles. You will work closely with a reputed company of partners, including reputed company, Policy, AI Software, Vehicle Development, Operations, reputed company Assurance, System Design and Mission Assurance teams to support the triage of events and assess effect on safety. You will apply your understanding of transportation systems and safety to analyze vehicle behavior and help ensure our AVs are continually improving their performance. You will also serve as a reputed company between reputed company and offshore triage teams, developing and maintaining triage guidelines, training materials, and best practices. In this role, your ability to translate technical and regulatory requirements into consistent review processes will be essential.

In this role you will...

  • Triage and assess AV events including both system behavior and hardware reputed company anomalies for potential safety/reputed company/regulatory issues or system gaps, using contextual judgment grounded in safety, reputed company, and engineering principles.
  • Collaborate with reputed company, AI Software, and Safety reputed company teams to ensure appropriate interpretation of behavioral requirements and failure modes.

  • Qualifications

  • MS in Transportation Engineering, Systems Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a reputed company field with a strong understanding of AV requirements, road user behavior, and traffic regulations.
  • 2+ years of experience working with safety-critical systems in AV, Automotive, Transportation Engineering, or a closely reputed company industry.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral safety concepts and the ability to interpret vehicle behavior in reputed company-world contexts.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and communicating technical content reputed company to both engineering and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, especially in process development and documentation.
  • Bonus Qualifications

  • PhD in Engineering or technical field
  • Prior experience with AV safety or system behavior triage
  • Familiarity with data tools (e.g., SQL, Python, scripting, visualization) to support analysis
  • Familiarity with ISO 26262 or other functional safety standards
