Senior Bookkeeper at Established Accounting Firm

A well-established accounting and tax firm is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join our team. This full-time, on-site role offers the possibility of overtime. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with strong bookkeeping and accounting knowledge, along with excellent communication skills to interact directly with clients.
Compensation and Benefits
• Pay: (20-)25 per hour (based on experience)
• Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday (overtime as needed)

Skills
• 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping and QuickBooks (Preferred)
• Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Ability to work efficiently in both team-oriented and autonomous environments
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• High level of stress tolerance and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
Responsibilities
• Maintain direct communication with clients to ensure their bookkeeping needs are met
• Review and reconcile client accounts, correcting original postings as necessary
• Perform in-house bookkeeping using QuickBooks Desktop (QuickBooks Online experience is a plus)
• Prepare and deliver monthly or quarterly financial reports (Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements)
• Collaborate with a team of bookkeepers to provide high-quality service
• Prepare sales tax, payroll tax, and personal property tax returns
• Manage accounts payable full-cycle
• Identify and resolve bookkeeping issues efficiently
• Ensure accurate and timely tax filings
Qualifications
• 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping
• Preferred experience with QuickBooks
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Excellent communication skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred but not required
