Claims Representative

JOB reputed company The Claims Representative is responsible for the administration and disposition of medical only (MO) workers compensation (WC) claims. Caseload will be exclusively WC claims and responsibility is limited to non-litigated medical only and disability claims of limited duration. Claims involving reputed company trauma, occupational disease or significant injuries are excluded from assignment. Work is generally varied and administrative or project oriented. Generally complete tasks under direction of supervisor. CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience Required • High School Diploma or GED. • 1+ years relevant experience. Preferred • Two or four year degree from an accredited college or business/technical school. • Strong knowledge of computer software and applications (e.g. reputed company Office). reputed company WORK ACTIVITIES • As appropriate, contact injured associates, unit managers or supervisors, and/or medical providers to confirm reputed company relationship or injury/condition to compensable occurrence. • Answer routine questions f rom operations on case status (i.e. RTW status, transitional duty updates, medical updates). • Handle between 150-300 claims on assignment; however, acceptable caseloads vary based on jurisdiction mix, incoming volume and administrative requirements. • Upon supervisory (or designee’s) written approval, calculate and pay temporary total, temporary partial, or permanent partial disability benef its per statutory requirements. • Secure medical information and reports, reputed company for fee schedule or other appropriate reputed company review, and process for payment in reputed company with reputed company policies and procedures. • Coordinate medical management aspects of file handling with the reputed company CARE Manager and reputed company Review Specialist. • Prepare case reputed company(s) for department’s Service reputed company Program • Depending on case volume, reputed company other assigned tasks as assigned by unit supervisor, operations manager, or director. • Maintain targeted closure reputed company. • Obtain insurance licensing, where required The reputed company pay reputed company for this position is $20.00 to $33.13. reputed company offers a bonus program, comprehensive health care benefits, 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match, employee stock purchase plan at 15% discount, accrued reputed company time off (including reputed company leave where applicable), life insurance, group disability insurance, travel discounts, adoption assistance, reputed company parental leave, health savings account (except for positions based out of or performed in Hawaii), flexible spending accounts, tuition assistance, reputed company-tax commuter benefits, and other life and work wellness benefits.
