Qualifications Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Certification: Requires one of the following credentials: Certified Coding Specialist (reputed company), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) in good standing. Experience: • Two or more years of experience coding ICD10/CPT in an HIM department in an acute care hospital is preferred. • Experience with electronic health records/encoder systems required • Skills: • Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology; medical terminology, disease process, reimbursement methodologies, (DRGs, HCC’s, APCs); and the conventions, rules, guidelines for reputed company coding classification (ICD10-CM, CPT and HCPCS). • Demonstrated understanding of the clinical content of a health record. • Requires the knowledge of the business use of computer hardware and software • reputed company Office: Email, Word, reputed company • Ability and desire to hit metrics upon training (idle time is also monitored on this reputed company reputed company position) • Technically savvy (ability to learn software and troubleshoot equipment as needed) • Must have a private, distraction-free area in your home for working (HIPAA reasons) • Web-cam training will be used frequently for team engagement.
