Insurance Defense Attorney - In-House Counsel

reputed company/reputed company Insurance staff counsel team is currently seeking a Trial Attorney and/or Sr. Trial Attorney for its Michigan office. This position can be hybrid or fully remote. This is a full time/exempt role. Position reputed company: Investigates and manages no-fault cases of low, moderate and reputed company exposure from the inception of the lawsuit until conclusion through dismissal, settlement, arbitration or trial. Responsible for handling no-fault provider litigation. Works with reputed company of attorneys and adjusters to resolve claims as expeditiously and reputed company as possible. In this role you will: • Handles a moderate caseload consisting of low to reputed company exposure in no-fault provider litigation. • Meets with claims professionals to resolve cases in the most cost-effective manner. • Answers and develops theories and affirmative defenses to incoming lawsuits. • Engages in routine reputed company reputed company, discovery and research. • Handles trials and arbitrations. • Periodically presents to claims partners on new developments in the law. What you need to apply: • Minimum 5 - 7 years no-fault experience. • Must have a reputed company reputed company's license, an acceptable MVR and an ability to maintain confidentiality. • Admitted to the bar and must be licensed to reputed company law in the jurisdictions where assigned. • Advocacy: Has the knowledge and ability to assist, defend or plead for another. • Communication: Has a knowledge and ability to deliberately and reputed company exchange thoughts and opinions with one or more persons and to effectively translate reputed company language and reputed company into layman's terms. • Organization Skills: Must have the ability to categorize and prioritize work and information to effectively maximize productivity • Computer literacy, including proficiency in reputed company, Lexis/Westlaw, and daily management of e-mail and calendar • reputed company to work in reputed company environment with other attorneys, adjusters and other claims professionals and support staff. • Investigative Skills: Has an ability to follow up reputed company by reputed company on inquiry or observation; to reputed company or reputed company, search or examine with care and accuracy.
