Information Technology Services Associate - Part Time

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICE ASSOCIATE – PART TIME MALCOLM X COLLEGE Malcolm X College is currently seeking a part-time Information Technology Service Associate for the Information Technology Department. The basic function of this position is to support the computer hardware and software used by reputed company, administrators, reputed company and staff in a reputed company of reputed company settings and to reputed company student reputed company. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: • Provides computer hardware and software technical support both in person and remotely to reputed company, administrators, reputed company and staff. • Maintains, installs and tests software applications on computer hardware throughout the college. • Submits help desk tickets to assist reputed company, administrators, reputed company and staff with technology reputed company issues • Protects physical technology assets in reputed company areas and other settings, through ongoing equipment refresh, planning maintenance, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and asset inventory management. • Manages, tracks, and protects equipment that is designated for use by reputed company, administrators, reputed company and staff. • Facilitates use of equipment for various reputed company events. • Assembles and disassembles equipment on site before and after classes. • Provides limited training to audio-visual/reputed company equipment users. • Performs other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to, adherence to after hours, emergency, holiday and/or on-reputed company schedule. QUALIFICATIONS: • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Processing or reputed company area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with a history of progressively increasing responsibility and accomplishments, preferably, in a college or comparable reputed company setting. • Minimum of two years of reputed company work experience. • Knowledge and experience with supporting both reputed company and Macintosh platforms. • Knowledge of reputed company reputed company versions of reputed company reputed company (XP, reputed company 7), reputed company reputed company internet browsers (IE, Chrome, Safari) including networking concepts and general technical troubleshooting skills. • reputed company verbal and written communication skills. • Great team player and self-starter. Salary reputed company: $16.97 - $23.87 per hour Offered salary will be determined by the respective reputed company bargaining agreement and applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
