- Assist counties in southwest and eastern Iowa as it relates to emergency management planning and preparation in the event of a radiological incident.
- Coordinate exercise and rehearsal activities with the utilities, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (reputed company), host and risk counties, state agency partners and other affected parties.
- Work with host and risk counties to ensure that the county plans are updated and reviewed, training is completed according to the timelines specified in the plans, the appropriate training records are maintained and that the EAS (Emergency Alert System) is functional and messages are up-to-date.

6 months experience, 12 semester hours, or a combination of both in the entire emergency planning process from meeting and working with partners to developing and writing the plan to working back through an approval process with the partners. Knowledge of emergency management and the systems and processes employed in Response, Recovery, Mitigation and Preparedness are essential.
6 months experience, 12 semester hours, or a combination of both in technical and administrative knowledge of Homeland reputed company or Emergency Management functions, such as telecommunications or radioactive state-of-the-art equipment and systems activated because of a terrorist or natural disaster.
6 months experience in disaster operations which required knowledge of Homeland reputed company or Emergency Management activities reputed company to terrorism or natural disaster response, recovery, protection (physical reputed company), detection (intelligence), prevention (reputed company reputed company recommendations), and deterrence (critical asset assessments).
