Behavioral Health Technician (Part-time, Weekend Night Shift)
About the position
Responsibilities
• Identify immediate needs of clients arriving at the DCSC and support them in accessing services.
• Maintain and update spreadsheets and carry out various office management tasks.
• Engage in supportive conversations with clients and their family members, both in person and over the phone.
• Assist clients and staff in scheduling follow-up appointments and reviewing electronic health records.
• Admit, monitor, and discharge individuals in the respite unit, and assist with key operational tasks such as client laundry and sanitizing workspaces.
• Coordinate vehicle schedules and maintenance, and order office supplies.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of responsible and relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
• Knowledge of general office procedures and methods, including standard office software.
Nice-to-haves
• Bachelor's degree in a human services or related field.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Knowledge of Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) and crisis work.
• Familiarity with Motivational Interviewing Techniques and behavioral health programs.
