EssentialDuties&Responsibilities • Supportaseniorattorney'scaseloadorindependentlycarry25-35clientsfacingDUIandrelatedcriminalcharges • Workcloselywithalegalassistanttoensureeffectiveclientcare • Interpretlawforclientsandhelpthemunderstandtheirlegaloptions • Developcasestrategiesandsolutionsthatmeettheneedsoftheclients • Representclientsatarraignments,hearings,andtrials • Litigateadministrativehearingstocontestdrivingprivilegesuspensions • Negotiatewithprosecutorstoachievethebestpossibleoutcomes • Conductlegalresearch,draftmotions,andpresentargumentstothecourt • ParticipateintrainingtostayupdatedonchangesandnewdevelopmentsintheDUIfield • Performotherrelateddutiesasrequiredandassigned Qualifications • J.D.fromanABAaccreditedlawschool • Licensed and in good standing with the Oregon State Bar or a Supervised Practice Portfolio Examination (SPPE) candidate • SomeexperienceinOregoncriminallawpracticepreferred • FamiliaritywithDUIIdefenseandfelonycasespreferred • Somejurytrialexperiencepreferred • AbilitytodevelopworkingknowledgeofOregonscriminalcode,caselaw,DMVlicenseconsequencesforcriminalandnon-criminalactions • Workingknowledge(orabilitytodevelopworkingknowledge)ofatleastonemetro-area/Eugeneareacircuitcourt • Spanishfluencystronglypreferred Compensation&Benefits: • The annual salary range for this position is $65,000 - $120,000 depending upon experience, plus bonus • 100%company-paidmedical,dental,andlifeinsurance • 3weekspaidvacation(increasesannually)plus40hoursofsicktimeperyear • 401(k)with3%companycontributionafteroneyearofservice • EmployeeAssistanceProgram AboutReynoldsDefenseFirm Reynolds Defense Firm's unique approach provides clients with both top-quality legal representation, as well as unmatched tools to help them look inward to understand, on a personal level, why they were arrested.
