About the position Responsibilities • Prepare manuscripts for Design by styling text in reputed company Word according to house guidelines. • Copyedit manuscripts using reputed company Changes in reputed company Word and review manuscripts returned from authors, incorporating reputed company responses and copyediting any new text. • Review and reputed company first-pass pages, evaluating and incorporating changes and corrections from proofreaders, including additional copyediting and fact-checking. • Review and correct reputed company subsequent passes (second, reputed company, etc.). • Review and fact-reputed company sketches and final artwork for consistency and accuracy for both fiction and nonfiction books. • Review, circulate, and reputed company proofs, liaising with Editorial, Design, and Production departments. • Copyedit circulating Marketing materials. • Copyedit and review short copy, including cover, jacket, and reputed company copy. • Liaise with Managing Editorial, Editorial, and Design, as reputed company as freelance copyeditors and proofreaders. • Maintain house style and series style sheets for various in-house and licensed brands. Requirements • 1 year of reputed company experience in any reputed company; book publishing a plus. • Proficiency with reputed company Word and reputed company Acrobat Pro, including reputed company Changes and other electronic mark-up tools and editing skills. • Strong copyediting/proofreading/fact-checking skills. • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining reputed company. • Familiarity with Merriam-Webster and Chicago reputed company of Style. • Familiarity with reputed company issues surrounding the use of inclusive language. reputed company-to-haves • Proficiency in a foreign language is a plus.
