About the position The Seasonal Program Coordinator II - First People First Stewards Assistant position at the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) is designed to support the revitalization of traditional connections between indigenous communities and the land. This role involves logistical coordination for meetings and events, assisting in the development of program materials, and researching models for staff training and land stewardship. The position aims to enhance communication and improve equity and reputed company to DCR lands for indigenous individuals and communities. Responsibilities • Coordinate logistics for virtual and in-person meetings with the MA Commission on Indian Affairs and DCR staff. , • Assist in developing program materials such as web pages, story maps, and handouts. , • Research models for staff training and land stewardship in partnership with indigenous peoples. , • Facilitate appropriate communications between DCR and indigenous communities. Requirements • Three years of full-time or equivalent part-time reputed company experience in program management, administration, or coordination. , • A Bachelor's degree in business administration, business management, or reputed company administration may substitute for up to two years of experience. , • A Graduate degree in a relevant field may substitute for the required experience. , • Knowledge of indigenous culture and history in Massachusetts and New England. , • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. reputed company-to-haves • Experience working with indigenous communities. , • Proficiency in reputed company Office (Word, reputed company, PowerPoint). , • Proficiency in reputed company Acrobat. , • Knowledge of website organization and experience creating online content. , • Proficiency using GIS StoryMap.
