About the position
Responsibilities
• Build sub-assemblies and assemblies to customer specifications
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during assembly
• Use heavy industrial equipment including cranes and welding equipment
• Conduct visual inspections of materials before and after assembly
• Utilize fixtures, gauges, hand tools, and power tools for assembly and repairs
• Inspect completed assemblies for compliance with quality standards
• Make necessary adjustments to meet quality goals
• Adhere to company environmental, health, and safety regulations
• Provide process and safety improvement ideas
• Ensure proper calibration of machines and tools
• Perform housekeeping duties using 5S+ principles
• Complete other assigned duties as necessary
Requirements
• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Ability to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship
• Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures in a manufacturing facility
• Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures, wiring diagrams, and bills of material
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting
• Basic working knowledge and experience with computers
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in production, packaging, or construction
• Previous experience with standard operating procedures
• Previous experience with product electrical assembly, maintenance, and/or repair
